Ensuring Inclusive Scouting Experiences: A Support Team for Neurodiverse Young People
Scouting is an organization that celebrates diversity and welcomes young people from all walks of life. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all Scouts can thrive and reach their full potential. This includes ensuring that neurodiverse young people are able to participate in all aspects of Scouting with confidence and success.
Our team of volunteers is here to support scout volunteers who want to learn more about neurodiversity and how to support neurodiverse young people. We offer a variety of resources and training programs to help scout leaders develop the skills and knowledge they need to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all Scouts.
Neurodiversity
Neurodiversity is a term that refers to the natural variation in human brain function. This variation can affect how people learn, interact with the world, and experience emotions. Neurodiverse young people may have conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or dyspraxia.
