This document explains the financial support available from North Devon District Scout Council.
It aims to clarify the eligibility requirements, and how to go about applying for support.
All applications for support must be completed and submitted as instructed. Where possible, this must be at least 3 months prior to the event to allow consideration within a District Trustee meeting.
Individual Representation Fund
An application can be made by an individual to attend an event, training, or to secure essential equipment to allow participation in an event, including but not limited to:
- County or National events
- County or National competitions
- International Jamborees
- Training courses that lead to activity permits
- Training that will help the District in pursuit of it’s charitable goals
- Purchase or hire of essential equipment
This is intended to be an open grant award to support the future development of the district. There is no limit to the number of times an individual may apply in their Scouting career, but previous awards will be taken into consideration.
Applications must be made by the individual with a covering letter, please give a clear description of the event you plan to undertake along with evidence of your personal fundraising to raise the required funds.
